My name is taken from 'the fool on the hill', a Beatles song. I generally drop the first 'the' for use on the internet. Although I'm not actuallya particular fan of the song musically, I really like the lyrics and find they match up very closely with my own view of myself.

Man From Another Place is a character from Twin Peaks which is one of my favorite TV series. He is a dwarf, always wears red, talks backwards and dances to slow jazz music... and I didn't even get to the strange stuff yet. Very Happy

My user name is my name, Harmony, with Ak appended to it because I'm originally from Alaska (Ak being the postal code for Alaska). It seemed like a good idea at the time, until I realized that if nothing is capitalized, it can be divided to be harmon yak, which is NOT what I intended, I assure you! Laughing

my nick is taken from my name, which is Pawel in polish. first I wanted to be paolo but when I tried IRC for the first time it was already taken and I chose palo as the alternative one... and I've been using it ever since.

to be honest, most of my friends don't call me Pawel anymore Wink

I bet there are some people, who I know in real life, that don't even know my real name Smile

if there wasn't so much paper work with changing one's name I would seriously consider such a change Wink

Mine simply means "Make me laugh!!" in Kuwaiti-arabic dialect. It's read kinda like "The'hhikni".

Back in my more.... juvenile... days, I found myself trying to be annoying at an internet board game chatroom and such. The first thing that I randomly typed out was "evildevil96.579". It just stuck after that. I've never been online under a different name. Except for a more sane number. (Rounded up to 97, I guess...)

my username is taken from my real name which in Polish is Krzysiek (try to pronounce it, suckers wink

Quite a few years ago, I was active on IRC in a #u2 channel. I used the nick Bashful.
First of all, because I am bashful. But there also is a (sort of a) U2-connection there. Someone compared the U2-members to the dwarfs on a mailinglist once.

Anyhow, at one point we were talking about McDonalds on #u2. And we changed our nicks for fun (yep, I have no life!). I changed mine to McBash and it decided to keep it.

I'm fairly new to forums. The 1st forum i signed up for was for bluejacking (sending random people messages via bluetooth on mobile phones [www.bluejackq.com for more info])
The name Nightman is the name of my phone that identifies my phone to others when I send them a message. It's best to remain anonymous in case you message someone that knows your name. Cool

My nick comes from... nowhere. I just typed it out one day when I was going to play Unreal Tournament and it stuck.. for 6-7 years so far Smile

I later found out that "Krof" is actually a polish (I think) name and apparently a word in some languages.

I even got a tribute song to my nick Very Happy

"Aria - Krof za Krof"
