What are your thoughts on a forum that is available only for senior users?

I can make any restriction needed for entering, but I'm thinking a minimum post count of 50 and mod/admin approval before entering (more than likely, automatic entry, but possible removal if those 50 posts are mostly nonsense).

The point of this forum would be for those that are bewildered by the current onslaught of new users. We could have our separate Games and Off Topic threads, etc, in there...

:EDIT: Post #12 has directions for the new subforum. You don't have to have 50 posts, but if you're brand new to the forum, you probably won't be admitted.

That really has nothing to do with this topic, but to be a mod you just have show familiarity and enthusiasm on this board. We don't really have any openings for mods anyhow and have one lined up for when an opening does exist.

Back on the topic though....I know that I personally would love it. One of the things i have enjoyed so much here is when I can strike up a personal dialouge with people who are as enthusiatic about WTATA as I am. I feel that this idea has a lot of potential....I would think 50 is about right, maybe even somehting like 100. Great idea Henway.

Yea, i misunderstood henway and thought you had to be a mod/administrator to have access to that, but I think its a great idea, keeps more of the spammers away and lets us chat with people who are truly interested in being here like steveogkpg said.

Alright. It's made. I'll approve some members now. This will be somewhat time consuming, but if you don't see the forum at the bottom of the screen in a couple of days or less, PM me.

I don't think it's necessary...I think we have enough forums. What use would a private forum serve? To get away from the "noobs?" They can't be all that bad.

Okay, to request access to the hidden forum, go up to Usergroups located up at the top under the Four Heads and request access into Senior Users.

Maybe, if all the new people are getting in your way (I used to mod a forum, so I know how annoying we can be to the establishment. Sorry), you should make the new forum by invitation only, that way the mods and old forum members would have their space, and you wouldn't get plagued by n00b requests.

But, anyway, I selected 'Probably Not' because any kind of topic can be started in the main forum anyway. I'm not sure what difference this new one would actually serve. We already have one forum where you have to post a certain amout of posts before you can get into it and the "if you see this then you are awsome" or some such thing. Do we really need this one?

...Just a thought really...
